News arrived on the 17th of the third month from Hatta, then Tōgorō was sent to Kaga on the 1st of the fourth month. On the 3rd day of the fifth month, Michihide discussed matters in Kaga over a cup of sake with Inzosu, a Zen priest. Then on the 25th of the fifth month, news again arrived from Hatta. On the 2nd of the sixth month, Shirō was sent down to Kaga together with a priest of Hatta (denomination unknown). On the 7th of the sixth month, Tōgorō arrived back in the capital. On the 16th of the sixth month, he was sent back to Hatta with distinct instructions, including those matters to be dealt with before the arrival of the Bon festival. On the 14th of the seventh month, Hyoe arrived in the capital, and relayed information about Hatta. Michihide lent his dyed kimono jacket to Onitsuka, received some Bon lanterns and a miniature landscape. On the 16th, Michihide once again loaned his kimono jacket to a number of persons. On the 21st day of the ninth month, during the festival season, news came in the night of flood damage in Kaga. A messenger was then arranged to be dispatched to Hatta to `get an estimate` (of the damage). On the 29th, Tomimoto was sent to Kaga.
